FEBRUARY 2009 Where We Live is thrilled, proud, pleased, stunned, and over-the-moon ecstatic to announce that we have raised over $18,000.00 for the Muse Park Playground Project! Combined with a $10,000.00 pledge from the City of Boiling Spring Lakes (from funds raised by the sale of the yellow BSL phone books), we have reached our fundraising goal for this project. An almost two-year effort, we are so happy to know that thanks to a TRUE COMMUNITY EFFORT, the children of Boiling Spring Lakes will have a new playground by Spring 2009. Some people gave thousands (anonymously!) while some could only spare the change in their pockets, but EVERY CENT COUNTED, and everyone who supported this project should feel pride of ownership for this fabulous new playspace.
It is not too late for you to leave your mark on the new Muse Park Playground! Our brick sale campaign will be ongoing, allowing you to memorialize the special people or moments in your life as you choose. Further funds raised from brick sales will be used for additional park improvements and other Where We Live projects and programs.
GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION! Thursday, June 4, 2009 5:30pm We dedicated the new playground and had a great evening of play! Thanks to everyone who came out to help us celebrate!
