| Boiling Spring Lakes Community Fun Day 2008> |
Almost exactly one year ago, to the day, Where We
Live had it's first public outing....so we were
extra-thrilled to return for the 8th Annual Boiling Spring
Lakes Community Fun Day, held this year on May 17,
2008, at the Security Savings Bank in BSL (since Town
Hall is under construction!)
It was a BEAUTIFUL day, with all kinds of fun
activities for the kids, a demonstration by the Smithville
Guard and "Thor", the cannon (including guest
cannoneer, Jonathan Spiers!), and booths galore,
sponsored by local businesses and community
organizations, including the BSL Garden Club, the
Nature Conservancy, and our hosts, Security Savings
Bank.
We had displays featuring our many projects and
activities, a bake sale to benefit the Muse Park
Playground Project, and a dog biscuit sale to benefit
The Taz Project, but we were most excited about
premiering our new t-shirts!! Thank you and
congratulations to Stacey Hollar, designer of our new
logo!
We met some great new people in the community who
we hope to see out at some Where We Live events
soon, and reconnected with some old friends. All in all,
it was a great day.

Sargent and Katrina Fairbank, for their support and
contributions to this event!
