Starting in Fall 2007, Where We Live is
pleased to present KORD Music, a series
of music classes geared towards infant-6
year olds. Similar to nationally offered
music classes, KORD Music aims to
introduce children to the fundamentals of
music while fostering creativity and a child's
natural enthusiasm for exploration and

About our instructors:
Katie Deese, creator of KORD Music, has taught
music for over ten years, in both public and
private schools. She holds a Bachelor's of Music
degree from the University of Georgia, where she
majored in Music Education. Katie lives in Boiling
Spring Lakes, NC with her husband, Mark and
daughter, Rebecca. Katie teaches elementary
school music at Cape Fear Academy, and also
offers private voice and piano lessons for children
and adults.

Tuition is $50 per 6 week session.
PLEASE NOTE: Tuition is non-refundable beyond the second week of classes. If you
miss a class, you may contact the instructor regarding the possibility of a make-up class,
but make-ups are not guaranteed and depend on class sizes and curriculum flexibility.

Meredith Simmons taught elementary education

Elementary Education/BA in Psychology from the
University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
