| December 2009 THIRD THURSDAY: Winter Solstice Drum Circle |
This year, we decided to have our drum circle Third Thursday on
Friday instead, in hopes of allowing more folks to attend and really
enjoy themselves. Perhaps we shouldn't have messed with the
formula though, because Friday, December 18, 2009 was COLD
and WET. It seemed at first that being driven inside would prevent
any drumming from actually happening....but eventually we got it
going, and a great time was had by all! It was so great to see old
friends as well as new faces. Special thanks to percussionist Kat
Fairbank, who led the drumming for us again, and to Mark
Herbert for adding some fun guitar to the mix!
This is such a fun evening....when next year's rolls around, don't be
intimidated, just come on out! You'll be glad you did.
