October 2008 THIRD THURSDAY:
Holiday Side Dish Shake-Up
Our October 16, 2008 Third
Thursday found us
once again
getting a sneak peek at one of the
biggest delights of the holiday
season - the holiday meal!  Picking
up where we left off last year, our
friends-turned-chefs outdid
themselves with new twists and
Happy meal planning!
takes on classic side dishes. Not a green bean casserole in sight!

Even better than the amazing array of food being carried in to the
Loggerhead Room at Southport's Hampton Inn were the smiling faces
of so many friends, new and old, who gathered together that evening.
How wonderful to take an hour or so out of our busy lives to
reconnect!  The whole night felt just like a family holiday
get-together, from the frenzied last-minute preparations, to the
abundance of wonderful food, from the laughter and chatter of
friends catching up with one another to the roaring din of excited
children......
even right down to the men sneaking off to
check the football scores!

Thanks to everyone who joined us and shared
their delicious food.  As the Where We Live
family continues to grow, we plan to take this
opportunity every year to break bread together
and enjoy just being with each other.  We hope
to see YOU there next year!
